The world premiere of the Holy Mass in Lovári, “Le Devleske”, will take place on September 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Basilica of St. István in Budapest.

The entire text of the Bible was only translated and published in the Lovar language in 2008. The 23-year-old Oláh Patrik Gergő, who studies under Gyula Fekete at the Academy of Music, used this to compose the musical material for the special performance.
The premiere of the work will take place on September 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Szent István Basilica in Budapest.
The world premiere is of musical historical importance, as Pope Francis himself approved the translated mass text and expressed his joy at the initiative. The composition will also be presented as one of the main events of the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress on September 9 at 11:30 a.m. at Hungexpo.
The permanent parts of the Mass can now be heard in this language for the first time in a liturgical setting performed by artists such as Rózsa Farkas, Liszt and Artisjus award-winning dulcimer artist, Nikoletta Szőke, Junior Prima award-winning singer, and Nikolasz Takács, a singer with gold and platinum records. The Belvárosi Ferences Kántorátus led by Mónika Kecskés and the Grazioso Chamber Orchestra will be conducted by Alpaslan Ertüngealp.
Gypsy music of several nations can be found in the work, including Hungarian, Balkan and Russian. The composition of the apparatus also fits into tradition. In addition to the string orchestra, there were two clarinets and a dulcimer, which together with the choir and the two soloists provide a harmonious sound.
